Review of Day 10, March 12, 2010

Visitors and volunteers to day nine of the JM in the AM 2010 Marathon included: JM in the AM staff members Robert Katz, Mayer Fertig, and Rand Wartelsky, Barry Libin, Izzy Goldberg, and several members of the Neshoma Orchestra, who provided the great musical accompaniment to today's celebration. Phone guests included the First Lady of Jewish radio, Staci Segal, and Joey Bodner of Main Event Caterers who once again rededicated the calculator used throughout the marathon to figure out all the totals. We would like to give special thanks to Ma'adan Caterers in Teaneck, NJ {800-MAADAN1 or 201-692-0192} for providing the exquisite breakfast for Day 10!

Visitors and volunteers to day nine of the JM in the AM 2010 Marathon included: JM in the AM staff Mayer Fertig, Larry Wachsman & Zush Motechin, Seth Gordon, and a group of students from Bat Torah in New Jersey. Ding called in to share words of support for everything that JM in the AM does for the Jewish community every day. Visitors and volunteers to day eight of the JM in the AM 2010 Marathon included: JM in the AM staff member Meir Weingarten, Chaim "Lobo" Silber, Rabbi Josh Pruzansky, Mr. Yitzchok Saftlas of Bottom Line Management Group, Seth Schreiber and Shlomo Zwickler of
Beit Orot, Dr. David Hirschorn, and the legendary Rabbi Abish Brodt, making his first ever visit to the JM in the AM studio. Students from the RTMA school in Elizabeth, NJ were on hand to help answer phones and show support for the great work of JM in the AM. We would like to give special thanks to Henry for preparing the great waffles that everyone enjoyed this morning, Day 8!

Visitors and volunteers to day seven of the JM in the AM 2010 Marathon included: JM in the AM staff member Robert Katz, Dr. Marc Singer, The King of Shlock: Lenny Solomon, Joe Lazar, Bernie Dov, Avraham Zamest, Shelly Lang and Aron Teitelbaum from Neginah Orchestra, Cantor Joel Caplan, the guys from Macslive.com, and a group of students from Kushner high school. Isaac Benishai called in for a live version of the weekly Yeshiva League Sports Update and Sarachek Tournament preview, Phil Rosen of American Friends of Likud called in to show support, and New York State Senator Carl Kruger called in to pledge generous support for JM in the AM as well. Visitors and volunteers to the second day of the JM in the AM 2010 Marathon included: JM in the AM staff member Mayer Fertig, Rabbi Chaim Hagler and Aliza (Starshevsky) Blumenthal with a group of students from Bruriah High School. Lenny Solomon, the King of Schlock, called in around 7:45 a.m. to encourage everyone to dig deep and pledge their support for JM in the AM. On day 1 Nachum thanks the Ladies of JM in the AM: Judy Mitrani, Sheila Tannenbaum, Janet Riesel and Gail Weintraub, the Greatest Mother-in-Law in the World. These Ladies work tirelessly everyday of the marathon answering the phones and bringing amazing spirit to the proceedings. Nachum was joined, of course, by Mark Zomick and Mattes Weingast who make sure that everything runs like clockwork over the duration of the fundraising marathon. Visitors and volunteers to the first day of the JM in the AM 2010 Marathon included: Meir Weingarten, Mr. Shaya Dear with his trusty camera, Devorah Wangrofsky, and Morris Ryback. Ken Freedman, WFMU Station Manager, was on hand to deliver the annual State of the Station Address with the latest news concerning WFMU, and ultimately JM in the AM, and all the other amazing programming that Nachum delivers every day!! We would like to give special thanks to Main Event Caterers in Englewood, NJ {201-894-8710} for providing the sumptuous catering for Day 1!
