In this unique documentary, filmed over the final year of her life, Simcha Esther (Shari) Gershan, takes us deep inside her personal battle against a deadly cancer. Diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, the vivacious mother of 4 young children embraces joy, faith and creativity as her weapons and embarks on a relentless quest to heal life.

The film offers a rare glimpse into the hidden world of Orthodox Jews and particularly into the inner life of an Orthodox woman. Against the backdrop of the NY Metro area, the feature length film, created by Simcha Esther and independent filmmaker Tsvika Tal, captures the journey as Simcha Esther transforms her life, her community and the cancer experience itself through humor, creativity and insight.
